Days 1-3 | Nairobi, Lake Elementaita & Lake Nakuru
After a night in Nairobi, you'll spend the morning exploring the city and hitting the highlights, including the Giraffe Centre, Daphne Sheldricks’ Elephant Orphanage, and the Karen Blixen Museum. After lunch at the lovely Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens, you will depart on the next part of your adventure that takes you from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi city to the small but beautiful soda ash lake located in the famous Great Rift Valley, named Lake Elementaita. You'll set out on a full day’s game drive to Lake Nakuru National park which is teeming with wildlife. Lions, buffalos as well as the many rhinos that call this corner of Kenya home, If you are lucky you may even spot a leopard relaxing in a tree beside the lake.
Days 4-6 | Maasai Mara National Reserve
Next you are off to the Maasai Mara National Reserve where you arrive in time for lunch and can spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing whilst you wait for the late evening when the temperature cools to head out on your first Mara game drive. The Maasai Mara is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves, with its Acacia dotted plains, tree-lined rivers and woodlands are abundant with wildlife and an array of birdlife. Game viewing is spectacular year round - you may see a pride of lions stalking their prey, observe a herd of elephant and their fascinating social structure, or see pods of hippo wallowing in the rivers. You have 3 nights here to explor the reserve and all it has to offer.
Day 7 | Nairobi
After breakfast you'll head out with picnic lunch boxes and you will be driven back to Nairobi where you will be dropped at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your onward travel.
