Days 1-4 | Central South Luangwa
Flying into Lusaka you'll transfer to your bush plane for a short hop to Mfuwe where your driver will collect you and transfer you to your first lodge, Kafunta River Lodge which is around 50mins away, and you'll see some of the local communities as you pass through various villages. You'll enjoy afternoon and morning game drives here across 4 nights, and in between you'll get to relax on the viewing deck, enjoy a spa treatment, and of course the staples of afternoon tea and a siesta!
Kafunta River Lodge
Days 5-7 | Southern South Luangwa
After the final morning game drive at Kafunta and brunch at the lodge, you'll depart on the 2 hour journey to Three Rivers Camp. Daily game drives or bush walks are available to explore the area, as are short night drives before dinner to discoer nocturnal wildlife. Back at camp, you'll dine al fresco, enjoy your own vieing deck, and even choose to spend a night outside under the stars in your specially appointed tented platform next to your room! You have 3 nights here to encounter elephants, giraffes, waterbuck and perhaps the relatively rare roan antelope, as well as lions, leopards and wild dogs.
Three Rivers Camp
Days 8-11 | North Luangwa
Once you've fully explored South Luangwa, it's time to fly to the Northern counterpart which is considered raw, remote, and far more wild than its neighbour. Your final camp is comfortably rustic, and has an amazing location at the Mwaleshi and Luangwa river confluence which is a hotspot for lion, leopard, hippo, elephant, kudu, waterbuck, Cookson’s wildebeest and wild dog. You can expect wonderful twice daily game activities including exceptional bush walks, and can be assured you'll have a superbly authentic safari experience.
